The Jansen family, owners of Kololo Game Reserve recognise that social development is not the sole responsibility of the South African government and that social investment by the private sector is the route to ensuring the development of human potential. They are committed to capacity building in the local community.

In association with the Waterberg Welfare Society (WWS), Vaalwater orphans benefit by a 'guest support' program. Guests visiting Kololo are requested to bring along clothes for donation, or to assist by making monetary donations to the orphanage. Please ask the management how you can help.

Kololo also fully supports a Hospice staff member.
