Kololo says farewell to Dean & Leancha and welcomes Bok and Kellyn

After several years of loyal service Dean and Leancha have found a new challenge elsewhere. We thank them for their commitment during their years on Kololo and hope they have a bright future ahead of them. At the same time we are happy to welcome Kellyn and Bok. They will be the new assistant managers on Kololo. They are already settled in at Kololo and we hope they will enjoy their new job on Kololo Game Reserve.

New Gate from Kololo to Welgevonden

Because Kololo is now officially part of Welgevonden Game Reserve we are creating an entrance from Kololo to Welgevonden. For game drives we therefore no longer have to use the South Gate, but we can enter Welgevonden directly from Kololo. The access road runs at the reception, along the dam, by means of a new bridge across the river and then to the new gate through which we have access to Welgevonden Game Reserve. The project will be completed at the end of this month.

Vibrant Bloemendaal Days®

In preparation to the reopening of the shopping mall Bloemendaal in Gouda, a massive consumer savings campaign was organised. From Monday, August 29th until Saturday, September 24th customers could save stamps and with a complete collection of stapms they had the chance to win fantastic prizes including an all-inclusive safari trip for 2 persons to Kololo Game Reserve in South Africa! On Saturday, October 1st, in front of a big audience the prizes were awarded to the winners; Ms. Vreeswijk was the happy winner.

Braai 4 Heritage a success!

On the 24th of September a Braai 4 Heritage was organised in Uithoorn, the Netherlands. During the Braai 4 Heritage the South African tradition was brought to the Netherlands. Besides the famous braai (barbecue), there were great opportunities to taste South African wines, attend a workshop or a lecture. Kololo Game Reserve also has a stand during this day. In addition there were various activities for children including, face painting. At the entrance hall of Grand Café Plux a number of organizations were present with a stand. During this day the Kololo stand was visited by a great number of real South Africa fan.

New German website

A few weeks ago we launched a new German website. With this website we provide German visitors and guests with information about Kololo Game Reserve in their own language and hope to make booking Kololo a bit easier..
